Shop Technician
Position to be filled as soon as possible.
You’ll be mainly helping to build trailers, fulfill orders, and keep the shop in good working order. You’ll also look for and implement improvements and enhancements.
You will also be responsible for occasionally working with customers, helping at trade shows, picking up materials, and in general being part of the team that will make this business a success.
We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the business in terms of experience, skills, and role.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hand and power tool experience/proficiency
- Ability to measure and cut accurately
- Good work ethic
- Ability to work on your own
- Positive attitude
- Sense of ownership
- Excitement about learning new skills
- Good customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (required)
You must also be:
- Able to use all tools that are customary in a woodworking shop, including table saw, miter saw, routers (plunged and fix base), drills and impact drivers, pneumatic nail guns, and drill press. Training will be provided for tools the employee is not yet comfortable with.
- Able to lift 50 lbs (occasionally–if this is a deal breaker and you’re a great candidate otherwise, please apply and note that)
- Punctual and show up to ready to work
- You’ll be expected to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 8-5. Weekends may be needed based on trade shows and urgent needs.
